Uta Hagen is one of the American stage's most storied veterans. Though she has not appeared on Broadway in many years, her credits include such landmark productions as the original stagings of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? and The Country Girl, as well as Othello, in which she played Desdemona to Paul Robeson's Moor. In recent years, Hagen has more commonly been seen Off-Broadway, in productions such as Mrs. Klein and Collected Stories. Hagen has previously received two Tonys, for Country Girl and Woolf.
