Barbara Siegel, the theatre/cabaret critic for TalkinBroadway.com and TheaterMania.com, will again be the chairperson for the Drama Desk Awards Nominating Committee. Siegel's committee, according to a Drama Desk spokesperson, will include Dan Bacalzo (TheaterMania.com), Christopher Byrne (Gay City News), Patrick Christiano (Dan's Papers and Theaterlife.com), Jason Clark (Entertainment Weekly), Gerard Raymond (Backstage and The Advocate) and Richard Ridge (Broadway Beat TV).
The Drama Desk is an organization of theatre critics, writers and editors that honors all areas of New York theatre, including Broadway, Off-Broadway and Off-Off-Broadway.
The Drama Desk, organized in 1949, presented its first awards in 1955.
