News 2010 Tony Winner Bill T. Jones at Work on Four Musicals Bill T. Jones, who won the Tony for Best Choreography for Fela!, said he is currently at work on no less than four new musicals.

Black Orpheus is based on the cult film; a second is based on the career of Motown producer Berry Gordy (Jones, according to a production spokesperson, is currently in discussions to work on this project); a third is based on the blaxploitation film "Superfly"; and a fourth is adapted from the Indian film "Monsoon Wedding." Jones gave no further details, but said Fela! is schduled to be produced in Lagos, Nigeria, this fall, as part of the nation's 50th anniversary, three weeks before its debut in London.

Jones won his first Tony for his choreography for Spring Awakening.
