Dear @leslieodomjr, As little kids, we grew up in our separate households across the country from one another, watching the Tony Awards and dreaming that some day we would be a part of that world... I sit here the morning of Tony day, as you are nominated for Best Lead Actor in a Musical, and I can't help but think of the little girl (me) and little boy (you) who would be beside themselves with joy Leslie Odom Jr., my best friend, my partner, my husband... I don't think I've ever been more proud in my entire life. In the almost 8 years that we've been together we have seen incredible highs, deep lows, doors slammed, survival jobs, not knowing how we'd pay our rent... But you always knew your passion, clung tight to your spirituality, maintained your perseverance, and followed your instincts. You are the most talented, loving, passionate, most incredible person I know. Congratulations, baby. You deserve every ounce of celebration. I'm so proud to be your date tonight. Love you forever. ▪️(this was taken by @bruglikas on opening night of #Hamilton on Broadway)
