25 DAYS OF TONYS: 2017 Tony Nominees Reveal Their Secret Weapons | Playbill

Tony Awards 25 DAYS OF TONYS: 2017 Tony Nominees Reveal Their Secret Weapons Tony nominees give Playbill an exclusive sneak peek of the people who make their job possible.

Theatre is—by design—a collaborative art form. When it comes to acing a performance, it takes more than great acting talent.

We asked this year’s Tony nominees to name the person without whom they could never achieve greatness onstage. From dressers to crew members to the most special people in their lives, Tony nominees Steven Levenson (Dear Evan Hansen), Mary Beth Peil (Anastasia), Jenn Colella (Come From Away), David Hyde Pierce (Hello, Dolly!), Gavin Creel (Hello, Dolly!), Rachel Bay Jones (Dear Evan Hansen), Laurie Metcalf (A Doll’s House, Part 2), Stephanie J. Block (Falsettos), Ben Platt (Dear Evan Hansen), Cynthia Nixon (The Little Foxes), and Laura Linney (The Little Foxes) sound off about the people without whom they couldn’t be a Tony nominee.

Tune in to the Tony Awards on CBS June 11. For continuing coverage leading up to Broadway’s biggest night, stay tuned to Playbill.com/TonyAwards, and for more information visit TonyAwards.com.
