News 7 Stories Arrive at the Frankel Theater Aug. 7 The Strain Theatre Company presents a limited engagement of Morris Panych's 7 Stories beginning Aug. 7 at the Gene Frankel Theater.

Directed by Greg T. Parente, the production will run through Aug. 24. The cast features Connor Paolo, Toni-Ann Gardiner, Alice Kremelberg, Thomas James Lombardo, Thomas Patel, Erica Terpening-Romeo and Rachel Troy.

In 7 Stories, press notes state, "a man teeters on the ledge of an apartment building, seven floors up, contemplating suicide. Before he can take the final leap he is confronted by the stories of the manically eccentric residents inside. The two lovers who constantly threaten to murder one another, the actor on his wedding day who plans to stay in character for the rest of his life, and the lady who keeps her own faith by answering the prayers of residents on the sixth floor. After hearing these 'seven stories' it looks like all the insanity is inside, and that the suicidal man is the least likely to jump."

The design team comprises James Fenton (set design), Amy Altadonna (sound design), Stacey Berman (costume design) and Aaron Spivey (lighting design).

7 Stories premiered in 1989 at the Arts Club Theatre Company in Vancouver, BC. The production won seven Jessie Richardson Awards, including Best Original Play.
