News A Chorus Line Star Enters the "Broadway Spotlight" April 2 Mara Davi, who plays Maggie in the current revival of A Chorus Line, performs at the Ars Nova April 2.

The actress, who will join the cast of The Drowsy Chaperone July 31, is the latest in the "Broadway Spotlight" series, which presents new Broadway actors in an intimate setting. Show time is 8 PM.

In her cabaret debut Davi, according to press notes, will open "up her music box to share some of her favorite tunes — old, new and renewed — that inspire her, express her heart and tell her story."

Previous "Broadway Spotlight" concerts have showcased the talents of Spelling Bee's Lisa Howard, Sweeney Todd's Manoel Felciano and Donna Lynne Champlin, Avenue Q's Ann Harada, Barrett Foa and John Tartaglia, Dance of the Vampires' Max von Essen, Les Miz’s Lauren Kennedy, Hairspray's Shoshana Bean, Into the Woods' Chad Kimball, Aida's Felicia Finley, Rent's Anthony Rapp, Wicked's Idina Menzel and Funny Girl’s Leslie Kritzer.

Mara Davi is currently making Broadway debut in A Chorus Line. She toured the U.S. and Japan in 42nd Street and also took part in the workshop of The Princess Bride. Other theatre credits include White Christmas, Dames at Sea, Baby, George M!, Gypsy and the City Center Encores! production of Of Thee I Sing.
