News A Funny Girl Will Replace Titanic on the Westchester Broadway Theatre Season Schedule The Westchester Broadway Theatre has announced that the Tony-winning musical Titanic has been dropped from its season line-up.

Representatives for the venue said that WBT has opted to present the tuneful star-vehicle Funny Girl in order to offer audiences a more light-hearted option. Titanic, featuring a score by Maury Yeston and a book by the late Peter Stone, was to run March 26-June 14. Funny Girl will now play those dates.

Westchester Broadway Theatre will be holding auditions for the Jule Styne-Bob Merrill musical in the near future. Additional details are expected.

The Westchester Broadway Playhouse season continues with Meshuggah Nuns! (Feb. 12-March 21), I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change! (June 18-Aug. 2), Beehive (Aug. 6-Sept. 19), 42nd Street (Sept. 24-Nov. 28) and Plaid Tidings (Dec. 2-Jan. 3, 2010).
