PlayBlog A Glimpse Inside Spider-Man Rehearsals A reporter from The Associated Press recently spent time inside rehearsals for the long-awaited musical Spider-Man Turn off the Dark, directed by Tony Award winner Julie Taymor, featuring a score by Bono and the Edge and starring Reeve Carney and Tony nominee Jennifer Damiano.

The AP reveals that the show will have a cast of 41, an orchestra of 18 and a score of about 18 new songs. At this point, its production costs are reported to total $60 million.

The production effects will include plenty of flying; the AP reporter watched a stuntman test out a maneuver at 40 mph over the theatre's audience.

Spider-Man is set to begin previews Nov. 14.
