PlayBlog A Look at ABC's "Good Christian Belles" With Kristin Chenoweth (Video) ABC recently picked up the new hour-long drama "Good Christian Belles," starring Tony Award winner Kristin Chenoweth (Promises, Promises; Wicked; You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown) to air as a mid-season replacement.

The series is based on Kim Gatlin's book, "Good Christian Bitches," and will also star Annie Potts (God of Carnage), Leslie Bibb (The 24 Hour Plays) and Mark Deklin (The Lion King).

"Good Christian Belles" will follow "Amanda Vaughn (Bibb), once the ultimate high school 'mean girl,' [who] is forced to return home in disgrace after her marriage ends in scandal," according to press notes. "Amanda is nothing like the girl she was 20 years ago, but as her old classmates reacquaint themselves with the new Amanda, will her home town welcome her with open arms or seek revenge? No one in this town is a saint, but that doesn’t mean they can’t have a heart. As Amanda and her teenage kids try to adjust to their new lives, the ladies from her past alternate between sympathy and scheming."
