News A Pairing of Mythical Proportions: One-Man Lord of the Rings Will Join One-Man Star Wars in Rep in NYC The cult-hit hourlong stage condensation known as One-Man Star Wars Trilogy, by writer-performer Charles Ross, will be paired with Ross' One-Man Lord of the Rings starting Sept. 13 at the Lamb's Theater in Manhattan.

The shows, a Herculean workout for the young Canadian performer, will be seen in repertory on the Lamb's mainstage. Both projects are inspired by the respective film trilogies that are dense with mythic quests, villainous and heroic archetypes and moral (some say religious) messages.

A new performance schedule for One-Man Star Wars begins Sept. 6 in anticipation of the new J.R.R. Tolkien-inspired show.

Big Leap Productions presents the separate stagings, which are seen on different days. Those who dug Ross' quirky take on the adventures of Princess Leia, R2D2, and Luke Skywalker will no doubt embrace his interepretation of Gollum, Gandalf and Frodo.

One-Man Lord of the Rings opens at The Lamb's Theater, 130 W. 44th Street, Sept. 28, following previews.

One-Man Lord of the Rings is directed by TJ Dawe and produced by Big Leap Productions with lighting design by Mike Schaldmose (the same partners as the One-Man Star Wars). Tickets for The One-Man Lord of The Rings and The One-Man Star Wars Trilogy are $39 each.
