The world premiere of Donja R. Love’s play Fireflies will begin performances September 26 at Atlantic Theater Company Off-Broadway. Set in the Jim Crow South, the new work follows a speech writer and her husband, a civil rights leader, whose marriage and fight for justice are put to the test after a church bombing leaves four girls dead.
Saheem Ali directs the limited engagement starring Khris Davis and DeWanda Wise.
