Murray's co-stars from the current revival of Mary Stuart — Janet McTeer, Harriet Walter and John Benjamin Hickey — will be on hand to salute their colleague as will Marian Seldes and Edward Albee. Nine's Karen Akers will perform. One of The Players longest traditions, Pipe Nights, according to press notes, "are named for the smoking of churchwarden pipes in the evenings. Pipe Nights began in 1905 and continue as testimonials to entertainment professionals to celebrate their contribution to the arts."

The black-tie optional evening begins at 6 PM with cocktails, followed by dinner at 6:45 PM and the program honoring Murray at 8:45 PM.

Brian Murray received Tony nominations for his performances in The Crucible, The Little Foxes and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead. His other Broadway credits include The Rivals, Uncle Vanya, Twelfth Night, Racing Demon, White Liars & Black Comedy, The Show Off, A Small Family Business, The Circle, Blithe Spirit, Arsenic and Old Lace, Hay Fever, Noises Off, Da, The Waltz of the Toreadors, Sleuth and All in Good Time.

The Players is located in Manhattan at 16 Gramercy Park South. For tickets, priced $150 per person, call (212) 475-6116.
