News A Trio of Valjeans for West End Les Miz: Ramin Karimloo Extends, David Shannon Returns, then Geronimo Rauch Takes Over Ramin Karimloo, who is currently starring as Valjean in the West End production of Les Miserables at the Queen's Theatre, has extended his run in the show by three weeks, through March 31.

He will be followed by David Shannon, who will return to the role April 3-June 16, before Gerónimo Rauch takes over June 18, 2012-June 15, 2013.

The current West End company also includes Hadley Fraser as Javert, Caroline Sheen as Fantine, Alexia Khadime as Eponine, Craig Mather as Marius, Cameron Blakely as Thénardier, Katy Secombe as Madame Thénardier, Liam Tamne as Enjolras and Lisa-Anne Wood as Cosette.

Shannon has previously played the role in the West End and played the title role in The Phantom of the Opera. He created the role of John in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Beautiful Game at the Cambridge Theatre and has also been seen in the West End in Miss Saigon, Whistle Down the Wind, Cats and Martin Guerre.

Rauch is an Argentinian singer and actor who is currently playing Jean Valjean in the new 25th anniversary production of Los Miserables in Barcelona. He has also previously played the roles of Feuilly and Marius in Les Misérables in Argentina, as well as taking part in the 25th Anniversary celebration of Les Misérables at The 02. In 2002 Gerónimo took part in the Buenos Aires version of TV talent show "Popstars," and was successfully chosen to become a founding member of the band Mambrú, whose debut album went Triple Platinum, selling over 120,00 copies.
