News Aaron Posner-Directed Chosen, With Richard Schiff, Begins July 18 at Barrington Stage Barrington Stage Company, under the leadership of artistic director Julianne Boyd and managing director Tristan Wilson, presents Chaim Potok's The Chosen, adapted and directed by Aaron Posner, beginning July 18 at the Boyd-Quinson Mainstage in Pittsfield, MA.

Emmy-winning television and film star Richard Schiff, known for his work on "The West Wing," stars as Reb Saunders. He is joined by Adam Heller (Elf; Caroline, Or Change) as David Malter, Jeff Cuttler (High) as Young Reuven Malter, Richard Topol (The Normal Heart; The Merchant of Venice) as Reuven Malter and Ben Rosenbach (South Pacific at the Engeman Theater) as Danny Saunders.

The Chosen, according to BSC, "tells the much-beloved story of two boys, two fathers, and two very different Jewish communities in Williamsburg, Brooklyn."

The Chosen will officially open July 21 for a run through Aug. 3.

Director Posner is currently represented Off-Broadway with the Outer Critics Circle Award-winning play My Name Is Asher Lev and is also the winner of this year's John Gassner Playwriting Award.
