Cabaret & Concert News Aaron Tveit Extends Upcoming Summer Café Carlyle Debut

The Moulin Rouge! The Musical Tony winner is currently playing a limited engagement in the Broadway revival of Sweeney Todd.

Aaron Tveit, currently playing a limited engagement opposite Sutton Foster in the Tony-nominated revival of Sweeney Todd, has extended his upcoming summer Café Carlyle debut.

The Moulin Rouge! The Musical Tony winner was originally scheduled to play the intimate Manhattan nightspot June 18–29 but will now begin a week earlier, performing June 11–29.

Tveit has also been seen on Broadway as Frank Abagnale, Jr. in Catch Me If You Can, and Fiyero in Wicked, Link Larkin in Hairspray, and as Gabe in Next to Normal, for which he received the Helen Hayes Award, a Lucille Lortel nomination, and The Actors' Equity Clarence Derwent Award. His screen credits include Schmigadoon!, Grease: Live, Graceland, Braindead, Gossip Girl, Les Misérables, Out of Blue, Created Equal, Undrafted, Better Off Single, Big Sky, and Howl.

As previously reported, the NYC cabaret will also welcome Julie Benko (May 2–4) and Tony winner Matt Doyle (May 7–11).
