News ABC Gets "UpClose" with Mostly Sondheim's Barbara Cook Barbara Cook, who received a 2002 Tony nomination for her one-woman concert Mostly Sondheim, will be profiled on ABC's "UpClose."

The veteran actress-singer will be featured on the nightly series early Tuesday morning, Jan. 7. "UpClose" airs at 12:05 AM ET on WABC-TV, immediately following "Nightline." Check local listings.

Cheered for her beautiful, crystal-clear soprano voice, Barbara Cook has starred on Broadway in Flahooley, Candide, The Gay Life, The Music Man and She Loves Me. She received a Best Featured Actress in a Musical Tony Award for her performance as Marian in The Music Man. Cook is also an internationally renowned concert artist whose numerous recordings are available on CD, including her Sondheim evening on DRG Records.

"UpClose" airs five nights a week on ABC. Each broadcast focuses on one compelling individual.
