"I'm going to be doing a Broadway musical, and there will be plenty of extended dance sequences," Sorkin replied to Vanity Fair when asked about his work during the June 20 L.A. Dance Project Gala.

Sorkin ("A Few Good Men," "The Newsroom," The Farnsworth Invention) declined to reveal further details on the project, adding, "I'm going to tell you . . . just when we’re allowed to announce it. You'll be the first to know. I can't say anything else about it, though."

As previously reported, Sorkin was to make his debut as a librettist on the Hugh Jackman vehicle Houdini, which has a score by Academy Award-winning composer-lyricist Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Pippin, "Pocahontas"). It was reported that Sorkin withdrew from Houdini in order to pen the second season of "The Newsroom" for HBO and an upcoming Steve Jobs biopic.
