The Actors Fund, the nonprofit organization that serves professionals in film, theatre, television, music, opera and dance, has launched an online store on its official website.

The store, which is located at, offers tickets to Actors Fund special performances as well as Actors Fund-related merchandise, including the Actors Fund baseball cap, a Christmas ornament and the Grammy-nominated recording of the star-studded Actors Fund Hair benefit concert.

Among the Actors Fund benefit performances currently on sale include Boeing-Boeing (on July 20), Wicked (July 27), The Lion King (Aug. 3) and Jersey Boys (Aug. 24).

In a statement Actors Fund executive director Joe Benincasa said, "Adding a store to The Actors Fund's acclaimed website is another step forward in bringing in new visitors to learn about The Fund while adding a new income stream for our programs. As our website has expanded to provide service and resource information to hundreds of thousands of entertainment professionals each year, we believe it's essential that The Fund use every opportunity to gain an increased presence on the web. The store is be a terrific component of these efforts."

Donations to the Fund can also be made directly through the new online store.

The Actors Fund, which was founded in 1882, is a non-profit organization that provides for the social welfare of all entertainment professionals. Some of the many programs The Actors Fund provides include a nursing home and assisted living care facility; senior and disabled programs; mental health services; chemical dependency services; entertainment industry assistance programs; the Phyllis Newman Women's Health Initiative; the AIDS Initiative; and supportive housing on both coasts.
