News Actress-Writer Rose Explores Dating in The Single Life Concert Isabel Rose, the star and writer of the recent film "Anything But Love," will examine her adventures in the single scene June 27 at Opia Lounge.

Directed by Carl Andress, The Single Life: Songs and Stories from the Frontlines features musical direction by Jeff Klitz. Backed by a five-piece band, Rose will interpret standards as well as songs from the worlds of pop and jazz — "You've Got Possibilities" and "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" — as she takes audiences on her journey to find Mr. Right. Show time is 9 PM. The Samuel Goldwyn film "Anything But Love" also co-starred Nine's Eartha Kitt, Listen to My Heart's Alix Korey and film actor Andrew McCarthy. Rose's other credits include the national tour of Six Degrees of Separation, Beau Jest, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Marat Sade and Threepenny Opera. Also a writer, Doubleday will soon publish Rose's first book, "The J.A.P. Chronicles."
