Driver, who has appeared on Broadway in Man and Boy, Mrs. Warren's Profession and the hit HBO series "Girls," is joined by fellow "Star Wars" newcomers Isaac (We Live Here), Gleeson (Now or Later), John Boyega, Andy Serkis, Max von Sydow and Daisy Ridley. Returning are original "Star Wars" cast members Fisher (Wishful Drinking), Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker.
The film, which will open Dec. 18. 2015, is directed by J.J. Abrams from a screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan and Abrams. Kathleen Kennedy, Abrams and Bryan Burk are producing. John Williams returns as the composer.

It is both thrilling and surreal to watch the beloved original cast and these brilliant new performers come together to bring this world to life, once again. We start shooting in a couple of weeks, and everyone is doing their best to make the fans proud," Abrams said in a statement.
