Presented Feb. 19-23, 2013, the concerts will feature a band led by Kimberly Grigsby (Caroline, or Change; Spider-Man; Spring Awakening; Light in the Piazza), with performances by Guettel, Steven Pasquale (the original Chicago and Seattle premieres of Light in the Piazza) and Whitney Bashor (White Noise, Picnic at Hanging Rock, The Fantasticks).

Here's how Guettel describes the engagement: "I disappeared in 2007. Into the studio. Into five new shows: a fairy tale adventure, an invisible man, a love story, a thing about wanting to be good called Millions and an opera for the devil. With an insanely tight little band led by Kim Grigsby, with the incomparable singers Steven Pasquale and Whitney Bashor at my side, I'll sing from these new shows. Steven and Whitney will sing from the old ones since that material is way too high for me now. I'm thrilled to try out new songs at 54 Below with such a brilliant group of musicians. I hope I'll see you in February. I'm so looking forward."

Guettel is composing a new musical based on Danny Boyle's 2004 film "Millions," as well as a musical adaptation of H.G. Wells' 1897 piece "The Invisible Man." An opera based on "Rip Van Winkle" is also said to be on Guettel's plate.

A Tony Award winner for his The Light in the Piazza score, Guettel also penned the acclaimed musical Floyd Collins and Myths and Hymns and Love's Fire.
