News Adam Rapp Is Stone Cold Dead Serious Off-Broadway, March 28-April 7 Adam Rapp appears to be stone cold dead serious about becoming the most prolific playwright working today. The scribe, whose Faster and Trueblinka received their New York premieres in the past eight months, will get another Gotham bow March 28 with Stone Cold Dead Serious. Performances run until May 3.

The Edge Theater Company will produce the work, which had its world premiere at American Repertory Theatre in early 2002. Guy Boyd, Betsy Aidem, Gretchen Cleevely and Matt Stadelmann star as the Ledbetter family, just your average whacked-out American clan. Dad's hooked on pain pills and QVC. Junior is the master of computer hard drives and the video game Tang Dynasty. Sis is kept busy stealing and walking the streets. And Mom? Well, she works double shifts at the diner to pay for everyone else's lifestyle. The plot is typical of Rapp's high-octane, word avalanche style. Carolyn Cantor directs. The Edge is only a couple years old. Cantor and David Korins founded it after working together at the Williamstown Theatre Festival and New York City.

Tickets are $15. Performances are at the Chashama Theatre (135 W. 42nd Street). Call (212) 206-1515.
