The winner of the contest will star as Cinderella in Cinderella, a London panto-styled “modern musical extravaganza” at the El Portal Theatre in North Hollywood.
Shankman will judge the auditions at Westfield Topanga (6600 Topanga Canyon Boulevard in Canoga Park, CA) July 7. The auditions judged by DioGuardi will be held at Westfield Santa Anita (400 South Baldwin Avenue, Suite 231, in Arcadia, CA) July 9. Harris (Assassins, “How I Met Your Mother”) will appear at Westfield Culver City (6000 Sepulveda Boulevard in Culver City) to judge the July 14 auditions.
Registration for each audition begins at 9 AM with auditions starting at 10 AM. Auditioners must be 16-26 years old at the time of the auditions. The audition process, which is the same as the one on “American Idol,” will involve singing one song to the judges. Callbacks are in September.
