If you are both a theatre lover and an animal lover, San Jose Repertory Theatre has a special that will tickle your fancy.

In honor of their production of Sylvia, the popular A.R. Gurney comedy about a man, his growing love for his new dog (played by an actress), and how it affects his marriage, San Jose Rep is offering two promotions:

1) Adopt and animal from the Humane Society of Santa Clara Valley during the month of July, and receive a two-for-one certificate for tickets to Sylvia.

2) Donate a 5 lb. (or larger) bag of dry dog or cat food to the Society and receive $5 off a ticket.

The Humane Society is at 2530 Lafayette Street at Martin Avenue, and is open for adoptions seven days a week. Pet food can be dropped off at the Rep's box office on One North First Street, or at the Mayer Theatre during show times, where Sylvia is running through August 4. San Jose Rep is pleased to support the Humane Society of Santa Clara Valley, the largest animal shelter on the West Coast.

Tickets to Sylvia are $16.50- 28.50, call (408) 291-2255 for tickets and more information.
