LOS ANGELES -- Sunday's Children All Fall Down, a fresh treatment of the adoption-triangle story, will have its world premiere April 2 at the McCadden Place Theatre.
Lara Naughton's play, based upon her own personal experience, deals with an adoptive family whose lives are disrupted when the birth mother who gave her baby away returns to connect with the child.
The play is produced by Nexus Ensemble Theatre, which presented it as a staged reading last fall. "When it received a standing ovation, it became the obvious choice for the next full-scale Nexus production," said a company spokesperson.
Directed by Murphy Cross, the cast includes Mark Brady, Alison Gale, Kim Gillingham and Gibbs Tolsdorf.
Performances are Thu.-Sun. at 8 PM through May 10 at the McCadden Place Theatre, 1157 N. McCadden Place. For tickets, $15, call (310) 298-3616. -- By Willard Manus
