News "After Party" Welcomes "Grease" Contestant Miller, Mamma Mia!'s Grande and Songwriter Almond May 11 "The After Party," billed as "an informal social gathering for the theatrically inclined," welcomes "Grease: You're the One That I Want" reality contestant Austin Miller, Mamma Mia!'s Frankie James Grande and singer/songwriter Todd Almond May 11.

Miller, Grande and Almond are all scheduled to perform a few tunes at the weekly event.

Hosted by Brandon Cutrell and Alysha Umphress, "The After Party" at the Laurie Beechman Theatre features Ray Fellman at the piano. Cabaret favorite Lisa Asher is also part of the "Party" mix — Asher will pour drinks and perform during the evening where amateurs and professionals are invited to take turns at the open mic. The "Party" begins at 10:30 PM and continues to 2 AM.

Austin Miller was the runner-up for the role of Danny in the forthcoming Broadway revival of Grease. Miller, who hails from Alvin, TX, was seen in the national tour of Hairspray as well as in productions of Smokey Joe's Café, Grease, Victor/Victoria, Cats, Follies, Anything Goes and The Music Man. Miller's TV credits include "Days of Our Lives."

Frankie James Grande is currently making his Broadway debut in Mamma Mia!. He appeared in the tour of Dora the Explorer Live! and in regional productions of George M! and A Chorus Line. Grande was recently named Mr. Broadway 2007.

Todd Almond penned the musical People Like Us, which will be recorded by Jay Records. He has written shows for NYU and Juilliard and was the first actor to regionally perform I Am My Own Wife. His song "We Laugh" will be heard on Brandon Cutrell's forthcoming solo CD. The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located within the West Bank Cafe at 407 West 42nd Street. There is no cover charge or minimum for "The After Party."
