News After Party Welcomes Taboo's McCartney Dec. 1 The After Party, billed as "an informal social gathering for the theatrically inclined," continues Dec. 1 at the Laurie Beechman Theatre.

Former Taboo star Liz McCartney will be the evening's special guest. The singing actress is scheduled to perform a few tunes at the weekly event. Hosted by Brandon Cutrell and Alysha Umphress, "The After Party" features Ray Fellman at the piano. Amateurs and professionals are invited to take turns at the open mic. The "Party" begins at 10:30 PM and continues to 2 AM.

Liz McCartney starred on Broadway in Mamma Mia!, Taboo, Les Misérables, The Phantom of the Opera and the short-lived musical Dance of the Vampires. She also spent nearly two years in the Boston production of Nunsense, and her regional credits include Paint Your Wagon, The Rocky Horror Show and Fifty Million Frenchmen. McCartney was recently seen Off-Broadway in the musical Bingo.

The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located within the West Bank Cafe at 407 West 42nd Street. There is no cover charge or minimum for "The After Party."
