PlayBlog A.I. in the A.M.! American Idiot Sings on "Early Show" June 10 The gang from Broadway''s Tony Award-nominated musical American Idiot will perform "21 Guns" live on June 10 in the 8 AM (EST) hour on CBS-TV's "The Early Show," which airs weekdays from 7-9 AM.


The appearance will feature Tony Award winner John Gallagher Jr., Tony Award nominee Stark Sands, Michael Esper, Rebecca Naomi Jones, Christina Sajous, and Mary Faber as well as Declan Bennett, Andrew Call, Gerard Canonico, Miguel Cervantes, Brian Charles Johnson, Leslie McDonel, Chase Peacock, Theo Stockman, Ben Thompson, Alysha Umphress, Sean Wing and Libby Winters.

The performance, which is open to the public, will be recorded live on the Early Show Plaza at 59th Street and 5th Avenue.

Nominated for three 2010 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, American Idiot — directed by Michael Mayer and inspired by the punk rock album of the same name — plays the St. James Theatre on West 44th Street.

The cast and Green Day will perform live on The Tony Awards broadcast, starting 8 PM (EST) June 13 on CBS.
