News Aida's Matt Bogart to Play Curly in Summer Oklahoma! Matt Bogart, who spent the summer playing Paul in the Kennedy Center production of Company, will add Curly to his ever-growing list of musical theatre characters portrayed.

According to Bogart's official website, the young actor/singer will play Curly in the 60th anniversary production of the famed Rodgers and Hammerstein musical this summer at Music Theatre Wichita in Wichita, Kansas. Performances are scheduled for July 9 through July 13 at the regional theatre, which kicks off its 2003 summer season with Good News!, June 11-15. Other productions include Footloose (June 25-29), Chicago (July 23-27) and Frank Wildhorn's The Scarlet Pimpernel (Aug. 6-10). It's a busy time for Bogart, who begins performances as Starbuck in the Signature Theatre's production of 110 in the Shade Jan. 21. That run concludes March 2, and then he'll star as Lancelot in the Paper Mill mounting of Camelot, April 2 through May 18.

Bogart has starred on Broadway in Aida, The Civil War, Miss Saigon and Smokey Joe's Cafe. A graduate of the University of Cincinnati's College Conservatory of Music, Bogart has appeared in regional productions of Carousel and Side Show, and he recently released his debut solo recording, "Simple Songs," on the Jay Records label.
