Simone, who is the daughter of the late musical icon Nina Simone, will play the Emelein Nov. 7 at 8 PM and the Blue Note Nov. 13 at 8 and 10:30 PM. The latter will feature the singer performing selections from her solo recording "Simone On Simone" (High Priestess/Koch). Born Lisa Celeste Stroud, the singer-actress is known professionally as Simone. In addition to an extensive concert career, Simone has appeared on Broadway in Aida and Rent as well as in the national tour of Jesus Christ Superstar. Her debut solo album is titled "Simone On Simone."
