News Ailing Donna Murphy Sits out Dec. 11-14 Wonderful Town Performances Wonderful Town star Donna Murphy missed the show's Dec. 11, 12, 13 and 14 performances due to illness.

A box office representative confirmed that the actress, wildly lauded for her performance as Ruth Sherwood in the Bernstein-Comden-Green revival, is "feeling under the weather".

Wonderful Town's press representative has been silent regarding the status the show's star.

In Murphy's absence, understudy Linda Mugleston has been playing the role of the older, more jaded Sherwood sister who moves to New York with dreams of making it big.

Ticketholders for Murphy's missed performances can receive a refund or exchange at the point of purchase. Patrons wishing to make either transaction at the box office are advised to do so outside rush periods, namely prior to, and right after curtain times.

The production marks the first Broadway revival of the 1953 Bernstein Comden-Green musical and the Broadway directorial debut of choreographer Kathleen Marshall. Click here to buy tickets to Wonderful Town.
