News Al Fresco Events Planned at London's National

London is much more of an outdoor city these days than it ever used to be, with pavement tables and chairs in evidence from early March to mid October. Given their location on some of London's busiest streets, theatres can't generally spill out of their buildings onto the boulevards, but the National is fortunate in having Theatre Square as a public and performance space, by the side of the Thames.

This week sees (usually at 6:15 PM, so they can be enjoyed by those going to see plays at the National as well as the passing general public) a guitar duo, a pop band, traditional Brazilian music, Renaissance farces, a Commedia dell'Arte version of Romeo and Juliet, and a loud-shirted band playing everything from blues to tango.
