Shakespeare, Money, and Morals" event June 17 at the Delacorte Theater.

The free Public Forum event will take place at 8 PM. Theatregoers are invited to participate in the town-hall conversation that will be conducted by Harvard professor Michael Sandel. It will explore "the way the language of money has been taking over our lives – the subject of his recent book, 'What Money Can’t Buy: The Moral Limits of Markets.'"

In addition to Alda, Rabe, Redgrave and Schreiber, the event will feature Marsha Stephanie Blake, Raúl Esparza, Hamish Linklater, Jesse L. Martin and more to be announced.

"The Delacorte is ideally suited for town-hall meetings, and we are delighted to be partnering with the Aspen Institute and the brilliant Michael Sandel to create this lively and passionate evening," said Public Theater artistic director Oskar Eustis in a statement. "Shakespeare was writing at the birth of the modern economy, and his searing insights into money and value will be the perfect frame for this exhilarating event."

The Public Theater has also announced the completion of its $42 million Capital Campaign, along with several key naming opportunities for supporters who were instrumental in funding for the company's renovation of its Astor Place home.

The Library, the intimate room that serves as the home for the Public's new restaurant, has been named The Whitton-Spector Library in honor of board chair Warren Spector and his wife Margaret Whitton. The company's box office has been renamed Taub Box Office for The Henry and Marilyn Taub Foundation; while the new mezzanine level that overlooks the Public Theater's lobby, has been named the Levin Mezzanine, in honor of The Philip and Janice Levin Foundation. The LuEsther T. Mertz Charitable Trust was also instrumental in the revitalization of the historic building.
