This year marks the centennial of the birth of Williams, known for Cat On a Hot Tin Roof, The Glass Menagerie and A Streetcar Named Desire, among other plays.

According to the company, "In an unspecified theatre at an unspecified location, Felice and Clare relentlessly wait backstage for the curtain to go up on the opening performance of The Two Character Play. Abandoned by the rest of their acting company and faced with an uncertain audience, brother and sister carry on with the show despite their desolate condition."

Written in 1975, the work is billed as "an existential mediation of Williams' relationship to his own sister, and to their shared experience of the theatrical."

Hecht (Broadway's The Last Night of Ballyhoo, A View From the Bridge) most recently appeared in CSC's Three Sisters. Cumming (Broadway's Cabaret, TV's "The Good Wife") starred in CSC's The Seagull.
