The current cast includes Laurence Luckinbill as "Herr Schultz," Carole Shelley as "Fraulein Schneider," Boyd Gaines as "Clifford Bradshaw," Victoria Clark as "Fraulein Kost" and Michael Stuhlbarg as "Ernst Ludwig."

Cumming, who had taken numerous leaves of absence to appear in Julie Taymor's film adaptation of Titus Andronicus, will be leaving Cabaret for good to begin work on another film -- the sequel to 1994's live-action "Flintstones," dubbed "Viva Rock Vegas." Cumming will play The Great Gazoo, the green martian who doles out advice to Fred and Barney. Though the initial live-action "Flintstones" film starred John Goodman, Rick Moranis, Elizabeth Perkins and Rosie O'Donnell, none of them will reprise their roles in "Rock Vegas."

Susan Egan will join the cast on June 17 and continue through Nov. 2. Egan was most recently seen in L.A.'s Mark Taper Forum production of Stephen Sondheim's Putting It Together with Carol Burnett. Last week Egan was announced in the upcoming Broadway cast for the production; no word yet on whether she's officially left Together or will be joining it on Broadway. A production spokesperson for Putting It Together would not confirm that Egan has left the show. Perhaps since Together already has one bit of alternate casting (Kathie Lee Gifford doing one performance a week), a special deal might be worked out for Egan.

Other stage credits include State Fair and Bye, Bye Birdie with Tommy Tune. Her film and television credits include the voice of "Meg" in Disney's "Hercules" and guest roles on "The Drew Carey Show," "Party of Five," "All My Children" and "Loving."
