Actor Alexandra Silber, whose experience appearing in various productions of Fiddler on the Roof led her to write a sequel to the Fiddler story, will conduct readings and book signings in Florida, California, and Pennsylvania over the next few weeks.
Each stop will feature readings from the book, After Anatevka, a signing with the author, and an original song by the Broadway composers Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick, as performed by Silber and Ben Ross.
Silber, who has found herself playing one or another of Tevye’s five daughters (and once, the mama Golde, in her high school production) throughout her life, played Tzeitel in the 2015 Broadway revival.
After Anatevka, subtitled “A Novel Inspired by Fiddler on the Roof” was published July 4, 2017. It follows the journeys of Tevye and his far-flung family in the years after they are forced out of their homes in Anatevka, Russia.
