News Algonquin’s 2006 Line-Up to Include Akers, Marcovicci, Maggart, Molaskey, Sullivan and More The winter and summer 2006 schedule at the Algonquin Hotel’s Oak Room has been announced.

Danny Sinoff will kick off the winter season at the famed cabaret. Sinoff will be making his New York debut, beginning Jan. 24. The singer will be followed by Maude Maggart, the protégé of Andrea Marcovicci, who will perform Jan. 31-Feb. 25.

Samantha Sidley, the winner of the Oak Room’s Young Artist Competition, will make her Algonquin bow Feb. 28-March 11, and KT Sullivan and Mark Nadler will return to the room with a British Musical Salute, March 14-April 1.

Cabaret favorite Karen Akers, whose Broadway credits include the original productions of Nine and Grand Hotel, will make her annual visit to the Oak Room April 4-May 13. Andrea Marcovicci, who is currently reprising her evening of World War II songs at the Oak Room, will return in the spring with just love, May 16-June 10. And, theatre and cabaret favorite Jessica Molaskey will entertain audiences June 13-July 1.

Looking ahead, the fall season at the Algonquin will open with Jack Jones Sept. 12-23.
