Artistic director Daniel Henning and artistic producer Noah Wyle announced the California company's 17th season lineup, which will be presented at The Blank's 2nd Stage Theatre on Theatre Row in Hollywood.
The Blank 2007-2008 season (subject to change) follows:
Directed by Darin Anthony
The world-premiere play tells the story of four American and British civilians who are taken hostage in Iraq. The work was originally presented in The Blank's development program The Living Room Series.
Directed by Kirsten Sanderson
Broadway star Alice Ripley (Side Show, Sunset Boulevard, The Rocky Horror Show, James Joyce's The Dead) stars in the big-city musical from The Wild Party and First Lady Suite.
Written and directed by Daniel Henning
Set in 1924's Chicago at the Nathan Leopold and Richard Loeb "trial of the century" with Clarence Darrow as defense council, the new work centers on "the boys' tale [which] has been sensationalized over the years but the deep dark truths have never been told…until now." The production is based entirely on trial transcripts, medical reports and other primary source material. Subscriptions and tickets are available to the season at The Blank at 2nd Stage Theatre, 6500 Santa Monica Blvd. in Los Angeles, CA, by calling (323) 661-9827.
