The 8:30 PM concert features original Side Show Broadway cast member Ripley, as well as Davie and Padgett, the co-stars of the revised production of that musical, which played the La Jolla Playhouse last fall and will arrive at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. this summer. White, a Tony Award winner for The Life, starred in the 1987 Broadway revival of Dreamgirls.
Also featured are Charity Dawson, Darius de Haas, Tony nominee Joshua Henry, Matthew Hydzik, Tony nominee Rebecca Luker and Tony nominee Keala Settle. Henry and Settle were also part of the revised La Jolla staging of Side Show.
The 75-minute concert features musical director and pianist Andy Einhorn, as well as musicians Dan Willis, Kenny Lavender, Keith O'Quinn, Michael Aarons, Mark Vanderpoel and Rich Rosenzweig.
Krieger was Tony-nominated for the scores to Dreamgirls (co-written with Tom Eyen) and Side Show (co-written with Bill Russell). His musicals also include The Tap Dance Kid and Lucky Duck. Krieger garnered Academy Award nominations for the songs "Listen," "Love You I Do" and "Patience" for the film adaptation of "Dreamgirls." He earned a Grammy Award for the song "Love You I Do."
