News Alicia Silverstone Sets New York Stage Return as Star of Dysfunctional Family Manhattan Theatre Club has announced that Alicia Silverstone ("Clueless," Time Stands Still) will be among the cast for the New York premiere of Melissa Ross' Of Good Stock, to be directed by artistic director Lynne Meadow.

The cast will also feature Kelly AuCoin (“House of Cards,” Some Men), Greg Keller (Wit, Belleville), Heather Lind (The Merchant of Venice), Nate Miller (Peter and the Starcatcher) and Jennifer Mudge (Into The Woods).

Performances will begin June 4, with an opening night slated for June 30 at New York City Center - Stage 1.

Silverstone, Lind and Mudge will play the three Stockon sisters, who, according to press notes are "witty, brilliant, beautiful – and a total mess, thanks to the legacy of their complicated novelist father." In Ross' new play, the women meet at their family home on Cape Cod for a weekend that sparks passions, humor and unexpected surprises. Ross' earlier plays include Thinner Than Water, You Are Here and Do Something Pretty.

The creative team for Of Good Stock will include Santo Loquasto for scenic design, Tom Broecker for costume design and Peter Kaczorowski for lighting design.

Silverstone returns to MTC following her starring role in the company's hit production of Time Stands Still, opposite Laura Linney, Brian d’Arcy James and Eric Bogosian.
