News Alison Bechdel Discusses Bechdel Test, Creation of Fun Home and Seeing Her Life Onstage With Seth Meyers (Video) Alison Bechdel, the celebrated author of the graphic memoir upon which the Tony-winning musical Fun Home is based, was a guest on "Late Night with Seth Meyers" July 29.

Bechdel discussed the Bechdel Test, her reaction to the news that her memoir was to become the basis for a new musical and what it has been like seeing her life played out onstage.

With music by Tony Award winner Jeanine Tesori, a book and lyrics by Tony Award winner Lisa Kron and direction by Tony Award winner Sam Gold, Fun Home opened to rave reviews at the Circle in the Square Theatre (235 West 50th Street) April 19, 2015, and recently won five 2015 Tony Awards. The updated Broadway version of the original cast recording of Fun Home is available on PS Classics, PSClassics.com.
