LOS ANGELES -- All in the Timing , a bill of six outrageous comedies by David Ives, will end the Geffen Playhouse's 1997-1998 season this June.

Directed by John Rando with a cast to be announced, All in the Timing begins performances June 6 and runs through June 28.

"Ives captures a playful prism of our own urban lives," said Gil Cates, producing director of the Geffen. "As our audiences will discover, he has a unique brand of comedy that we have yet to encounter in Los Angeles and I am delighted to bring this very funny play to the Geffen stage."

All in the Timing was produced Off-Broadway in 1994 and was hailed by the New York Times, which said its "six delirious one-acts are more like sketches from some hilarious, celestially conceived revue. The writing is not only very funny, it has the density of thought and precision of poetry. David Ives spins hilarity out of words."

The Geffen Playhouse is located at 10886 Le Conte Ave. in Westwood. For tickets and information, call (310) 208-5454 or (800) 678-5440. -- By Willard Manus
