News Allegiance, Starring Lea Salonga and Telly Leung, To Play Old Globe Season With Gentleman's Guide, Ibsen, Shaw and More The Old Globe's 2012-13 season in San Diego will include the world-premiere productions of the musicals Allegiance, starring Lea Salonga and George Takei and Telly Leung, and A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder. The slate, to also feature work by Henrik Ibsen, George Bernard Shaw, Jon Robin Baitz, Tarell Alvin McCraney and others, was announced April 27.

The season will see a 100th-anniversary production of George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion, directed by Nicholas Martin; a new adaptation of Henrik Ibsen's A Doll's House; the acclaimed Good People by David Lindsay-Abaire; Jon Robin Baitz's Other Desert Cities; the West Coast premiere Bekah Brunstetter's Be a Good Little Widow; and southern California premiere of Tarell Alvin McCraney's The Brothers Size.

Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas! will return for its 15th consecutive year.

As previously announced, The Old Globe's 2012 Summer Season will feature the annual Shakespeare Festival led for its third year by Festival artistic director Adrian Noble.

Noble will direct William Shakespeare's As You Like It (June 10-Sept. 30) and Inherit the Wind by Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee (June 17-Sept. 25). Presented in repertory, the Festival will also include Shakespeare's Richard III (June 3-Sept. 29) directed by Lindsay Posner. The Summer Season also includes the West Coast premiere of Divine Rivalry by Michael Kramer with D.S. Moynihan directed by Michael Wilson (July 7-Aug. 5) and the San Diego premiere of Yasmina Reza's God of Carnage directed by Richard Seer (July 27-Sept. 2).
