Conceived by Kim Rosenstock (Tigers Be Still) and written by Will Connolly (Once), Michael Mitnick (Sex Lives of Our Parents, "The Giver") and Rosenstock, the limited engagement will play through June 29 at Playwrights Horizons' Mainstage Theater.

Directed by Carolyn Cantor, the cast will feature Allison Case (Hair, Hands on a Hardbody), Adam Chanler-Berat (Peter and the Starcatcher, Next to Normal), Tony Award nominee and Obie Award winner Peter Friedman (The Great God Pan, Ragtime), Michael McCormick (Elf, Curtains), Patti Murin (Xanadu, Love's Labour's Lost), Drama Desk Award nominee Bryce Ryness (Hair, First Date) and Obie Award winner Henry Stram (Inherit the Wind, The Crucible).

Here's how the production is billed: "In this darkly comic rock-fable, a melancholy sandwich maker's (Chanler-Berat) hum-drum life is intersected by two entrancing sisters (Case and Murin). A sweeping ode to young love set against the backdrop of the northeast blackout of 1965, Fly By Night is a tale about making your way and discovering hope in a world beset by darkness."

Additionally, Playwrights Horizons announced that Ken Marks (Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark, Rock 'n' Roll) will join the cast of Stage Kiss in the role of The Husband. Beginning performances March 25, he succeeds Tony Award nominee Daniel Jenkins, who is unable to continue with the play’s extension due to a previous commitment.

Stage Kiss officially opened March 2 following previews that began Feb. 7 and will continue through April 6. Directed by Rebecca Taichman (Milk Like Sugar, Marie Antoinette, Orlando, The Scene, Luck of the Irish), the cast includes Todd Almond (The Tempest, People Are Wrong!, composer/lyricist of On the Levee), Clea Alsip (L(y)RE), Michael Cyril Creighton (The Vietnamization of NJ, Blood Play, "Jack in the Box"), SAG Award nominee Dominic Fumusa (Passion Play, Tape, Take Me Out, [sic], "Nurse Jackie"), Emma Galvin (Lidless, Our Town, Blood Play), Tony Award nominee Jessica Hecht (The Assembled Parties, A View from the Bridge, Harvey, The Last Night of Ballyhoo), Tony Award nominee Jenkins (Big River, Golden Boy) and Patrick Kerr (The Ritz, Endgame, The Warrior Ant, Jeffrey, The Devils). Here's how the production is billed: "Art imitates Life. Life imitates Art. When two actors (Hecht and Fumusa) with a history are thrown together as romantic leads in a forgotten 1930s melodrama, they quickly lose touch with reality as the story onstage follows them offstage. Sarah Ruhl's singular voice returns to Playwrights Horizons with Stage Kiss, a charming tale about what happens when lovers share a stage kiss — or when actors share a real one."
