News Altar Boyz Cast to Record for Songs of Love Foundation The cast of Altar Boyz will record a song for the Songs of Love Foundation in front of a live audience following the performance on Jan. 30, which falls during Kids' Night on Broadway.

The foundation records personalized songs to give to terminally and chronically ill children and young adults.

The Boyz cast will record "Nathaniel’s Song," which then will be presented to 13-year-old Nathaniel, who will be seeing the performance that night.

Altar Boyz, which features Landon Beard, Zach Hanna, Kyle Dean Massey, Eric Schneider and Shaun Taylor-Corbett, is the first Off-Broadway show to collaborate with the foundation.

The musical, about a Christian boy band, opened on March 1, 2005, Off-Broadway at New World Stages.

Altar Boyz is directed by Stafford Arima and choreographed by Christopher Gattelli. It has music and lyrics by Gary Adler and Michael Patrick Walker with a book by Kevin Del Aguila, and is based on a concept by Marc Kessler and Ken Davenport.
