News American Buffalo Begins Hartford TheaterWorks Run Sept. 11 David Mamet's American Buffalo, starring John Ahlin, Zachary Spicer and Andrew Benator, opens shop at Hartford TheaterWorks Sept. 11.

Under the direction of TheaterWorks artistic director Steve Campo, American Buffalo will officially open Sept. 18 and play an extended run through Oct. 25. TheaterWorks veteran Benator (Lobby Hero, Proof, The SantaLand Diaries) stars as Teach, with Ahlin (The Lonesome West, Seafarer) as Don and newcomer Spicer as Bobby.

"In American Buffalo," press notes state, "three small-time hustlers conspire to steal a coin collector's priceless buffalo-head nickel. The question is...can they trust one another enough to get their piece of the American dream?"

American Buffalo has set design by Adrian Jones and lighting design by Matthew Richards.
