On the April 6 broadcast, the Top 9 finalists performed songs from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and Toscano, 22, from Howard Beach, NY, sang “River Deep, Mountain High.”
On April 13 at 8 PM ET, the Top 8 finalists – Casey Abrams, Lauren Alaina, James Durbin, Stefano Langone, Jacob Lusk, Scotty McCreery, Paul McDonald and Haley Reinhart – will perform songs from the movies.
On the April 14 results show, which also begins at 8 PM ET, performers will include Grammy winner Rihanna and Season One "Idol" winner Kelly Clarkson and country music superstar Jason Aldean, who will perform their duet, “Don’t You Wanna Stay.”
Among the many "American Idol" finalists and/or winners who have appeared on Broadway are Fantasia, Justin Guarini, Jordin Sparks, Diana DeGarmo, Ace Young, Tamyra Gray, Constantine Maroulis, Frenchie Davis, Clay Aiken and Taylor Hicks.
