News American Theatre Wing Seeks College-Age Applicants for Summer 2010 SpringboardNYC Program The American Theatre Wing's SpringboardNYC, an intensive summer boot camp for student actors, is now seeking applications for 35 spots in the 2010 summer program, which will be held June 7-18 in New York City.

Now in its eighth year under director Randy Ellen Lutterman, the program is designed for serious students preparing to work in the New York theatre world. Sessions are taught by industry professionals and include audition training with directors and casting directors and seminars with the industry's leading agents and managers, as well as conversations with some of Broadway's biggest names both onstage and behind the scenes. Participants also get to attend several Broadway and Off-Broadway shows (with special talkback sessions), as well as the dress rehearsal for The Tony Awards. Applications are being accepted now through April 1. SpringboardNYC also offers financial aid and multiple scholarship programs to students who qualify. The program is open to college students in their junior or senior year, with other admissions possible by special, case-by-case arrangement.
