The kids from the Broadway musical Big will be performing at an amusement park is the New York suburb of Rye, Sunday, Aug. 4 at 7:30 PM. And if you're a kid aged 12-18 and you can dance, show up for a chance to audition for the show.

The Big kids will appear in person at Rye Playland to perform numbers from the show, including "Fun" and "Stars, Stars, Stars." Afterwards, the kids will hold a freeze-dance contest on the dance floor in front of the stage, and anyone ages 12-18 is invited to compete.

After the freeze-dance contest they will hold a "Cross the Line" dance contest, named for one of the songs in the show. With the help of the audience, the kids from Big will choose a winner and two runners-up. The two runners-up will get four free tickets to Big. The winner will get four free tickets and a chance to audition for a part in the Broadway show.

In the original movie version of Big, the amusement park where Josh Baskin made his fateful wish to just "be big" was filmed at the same Playland in Rye. The park is located off exit 19 of the New England Thruway.
